Lisa is in her 11th year coaching the Beaumont Barracudas swim team. She grew up swimming for a YMCA team in her hometown of Hagerstown, Maryland, where she was also a member of the diving team. She attended Shepherd University (formerly Shepherd College) and swam all four of her collegiate years there where she earned multiple awards and championships. She excelled in swimming at the collegiate level earning NAIA All-American honors nineteen (19) times. She is one of only four Shepherd swimmers to earn All-American honors in each of their four varsity seasons. She is a two-time NAIA National Champion, winning her first championship in her freshman year as a member of the 200 Meter Medley Relay team which set a new National Record. In her junior year, she was the National Champion in the 200 Yard Breaststroke setting a new NAIA National Record in that event as well. Lisa won more Tri-State individual swimming championships than any other Shepherd University swimmer (male or female) in the school's history. In 1993, she was inducted into the Shepherd University Athletic Hall of Fame--becoming only the second female in the college's history to be awarded that honor. She has led our Barracudas to many league championships and undefeated seasons in the past 10 years and has coached a YMCA National Championship qualifier in 7 of the last 9 seasons. |
